Rutland Middle School is a vibrant place to work and to learn with almost 700 students registered in Grades 7 through 9. We are proud of our students and their many accomplishments. They bring a diverse set of talents, abilities, and individual qualities to school with them and our staff enjoy the energy and creativity of our students. Our team of 60 full- and part-time staff are dedicated to supporting a learning environment that is challenging, supportive, and safe for our students.

Our School Facilities:
Rutland was founded in 1908 and our heritage school building was built as a full secondary school in the heart of the community in 1949. More recently, our main building has been supplemented by a technology annex, 8 portable classrooms, playing fields, and an outdoor basketball court. Ball fields, the Athans Aquatic Centre, the Okanagan Gymnastics Centre, the Rutland Boys and Girls Club and the Sport Kelowna Centre are also located nearby.

RMS Parent Advisory Council Meeting
The next meeting of the RMS PAC will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thurs. Mar. 29, 2010. All parents and guardians are members of the PAC and encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held in the RMS staff room next to the office.
