No Shave November,
raising money for Africa
In an effort to raise money for water projects in Africa, 11 male teachers have agreed not to shave for the entire month of November. Students are donating money to the staff members, guessing who will have the ugliest beard. Click here for a list of participants, a video explaining the fundraiser in more detail, and images of the participants (updated weekly).

Our School Facilities:
Rutland was founded in 1908 and our heritage school building was built as a full secondary school in the heart of the community in 1949. More recently, our main building has been supplemented by a technology annex, 8 portable classrooms, playing fields, and an outdoor basketball court. Ball fields, the Athans Aquatic Centre, the Okanagan Gymnastics Centre, the Rutland Boys and Girls Club and the Sport Kelowna Centre are also located nearby.
All parents and guardians are invited to attend the next RMS Parent Advisory Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the RMS Staff Room. These meetings provide opportunities to learn more about the school and have input into school policies and decisions. You will enjoy the lively conversation and meet other involved parents.
