We are pleased to be working on your behalf as the administrative team for Rutland Middle School. Our role is to provide instructional and organizational leadership for at the school. Another part of our role is to ensure we have a good two-way system in place for home-school communication. To do this, we value the input of school families. If parents have any questions or concerns regarding their own child’s educational program or class policies, we encourage you to contact the teacher of a specific course or your child’s homeroom teacher.

Each year, we review our school performance data with teachers and parents and set goals to improve our school in specific ways. Our current goal is to increase the percentage of students meeting and exceeding curriculum expectations at each grade level by 3% per year until a 98% success rate is achieved. In addition, we have three focus areas:
1. Supporting students in demonstrating respect for themselves, others, and the environment;
2. Increasing challenge opportunities for capable students;
3. Improving the indicators of a healthy environment for learning.
